  6. Here is a list and brief explanation of the complete set of files which you
  7. should  have on  your disk  for  your Contacts  Manager System  to function
  8. fully:
  9.  
  10. PHONE.BAT     - Menu-jumping search command for a name in the data bank.
  11.                 The advantage of using PHONE.BAT is that one does not have
  12.                 to step through the main menu.  It may be particularly
  13.                 useful for finding telephone numbers quickly.
  14.                 From DOS, type PHONE together with a few beginning letters
  15.                 of the person you are looking for.  For example:
  16.                          C:\> PHONE SMI ─┘  for finding Mr Smith.
  17. INSTALL.BAT   - Installation program for installing the system from
  18.                 floppy disks to a hard disk
  19. MANUAL.BAT    - Program for printing the system manual
  20. TOFLOPPY.BAT  - Program for making backup copies of your entire Contacts
  21.                 Manager system from your hard disk (C drive) onto 2 or 3
  22.                 floppy diskettes in drive A.
  23. SETFIG.BAT    - Program for installing a correct CONFIG.SYS file with the
  24.                 "FILES=20" statement for hard disk users.
  25. CONFIG.SYS    - Provided for configuration with FILES=20 statement if
  26.                 required. Floppy disk users may copy this onto their
  27.                 boot diskette.
  28. DUALPATH.BAT  - Program to set the DOS PATH to drives A and B for dual
  29.                 floppy disk computer users.
  30. CONTACTS.BAT  - Program start-up file for normal monitors
  31. CONTAC.BAT    - Program start-up file for monitors showing disturbance
  32. NOSNOW.BAT    - Program for the prevention of screen disturbance
  33. CONTACTS.EXE  - Main program file
  34. CONTACTS.OVL  - Main program overlay
  35. TELEBOOK.DBF  - Main address book data file
  36. TELEBOOK.DBT  - Main address book text file
  37. RANK.DBF      - Priority rankings data file
  38. RANK.DBT      - Priority rankings text file
  39. Y             - Special file used by TOFLOPPY.BAT routine
  40. *.LBL         - Label format files
  41. *.NDX         - Index organisation files. These *.NDX files are not
  42.                 essential and are created by the program if not supplied.
  43. HONESTY.MEM   - Program defaults file
  44. TELEBOOK.FRM  - Report format file
  45. ARCHIVE.BAT   - Program for creating an archived backup of your entire
  46.                 Contacts Manager System from your hard disk onto one floppy
  47.                 diskette.  Less disk space is required than when you use
  48.                 TOFLOPPY.BAT. Own copies of the programs PKARC.COM and
  49.                 PKXARC.COM are required.
  50. UNFOLD.BAT    - Program for unarching an archived backup. In other words,
  51.                 UNFOLD.BAT unarcs and installs the file CONTACTS.ARC from a
  52.                 floppy disk in drive A: onto your hard disk (drive C:). Own
  53.                 copy of the program PKXARC.COM is required.
